His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones undertook official travel to Jabiru and Gunbalanya for a residency in Arnhem Land.

In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, as Patron and Ms Ruth Jones received Mr Aaron Chia, Chief Executive Officer and Mrs Lindy Williams, Senior Occupational Therapist, Guide Dogs SA/NT. In the evening, His Honour, as Patron and Ms Jones hosted a reception for Surf Life Saving Northern Territory, to present the 2023 Administrator's Medal for Outstanding Service to Surf Life Saving in the Northern Territory.

In the afternoon, His Honour, as Patron, received Mrs Janette Jewell, Chair, Mrs Sue Shearer, Chief Executive Officer and Mr Steve Thomas, Home Maintenance Volunteer, Council on the Ageing (NT) for a Courtesy Call. Subsequently, His Honour, as Patron, received Mr Adam Traugott President and Mrs Samantha Fox Chief Executive Officer, Surf Life Saving Northern Territory (Inc.) for a Courtesy Call.

In the afternoon, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, as Patron, attended the 2023 Cricket Charles Darwin University Top End Series, at the Gardens Oval.

Afterwards, His Honour, as Patron of the Royal Agricultural Society of the Northern Territory, accompanied by Ms Jones Officially opened the 72nd Royal Darwin Show.

Later, His Honour received Ms Rachael Bowker, Chief Executive Officer, Darwin Community Legal Service. In the afternoon, the Administrator, as Patron and Ms Jones received Mr Scott Perkins President and Mr Roger Newman Secretary, Legacy Club of the Northern Territory Inc.

Subsequently, His Honour and Ms Ruth Jones received Mr Sam Ashmore, Youth Development Officer, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Australia (NT Division) for a Courtesy Call. In the evening, the Administrator and Ms Jones hosted a reception at Government House to mark 50 years of bilateral relations between Australia and Vietnam.
