At sunrise, His Honour the Honourable David Connolly, Administrator of the Northern Territory, participated in a saltwater welcome to country conducted by Mr David Kurnoth, Larrakia Nation, at Mindil Beach.

In the morning, His Honour the Honourable David Connolly, was sworn in as the 24th Administrator of the Northern Territory by Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, at a ceremony at Parliament House.

In the afternoon, the Administrator and Ms Brosnan, hosted a Luncheon reception for Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, attended by the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory, at Government House.

In the evening, His Honour and Ms Brosnan hosted a Dinner on the occasion of the Swearing-in of His Honour as the 24th Administrator of the Northern Territory.
