In the afternoon, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, received His Excellency Mr Xiao Qian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Commonwealth of Australia for a courtesy call.

In the afternoon, His Honour, as Patron, attended the Menzies Open Day, at Royal Darwin Hospital Campus.
