His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones undertook official travel to Katherine.

In the morning, His Honour, as Honorary Air Commodore of 17 Squadron, accompanied by Ms Jones, attended a meeting with Senior Australian Defence Force Officer and Warrant Officer Darren McConnell, Royal Australian Air Force Base, in Tindal.

Subsequently, the Administrator and Ms Jones, attended a farewell parade, at Aircraft Maintenance Services Hanger.

Midday, the Vice Regal couple attended a lunch with Members of 17 Squadron, at Sergeant’s Mess.

Next, His Honour and Ms Jones, attended a static display of an F35, at 75 Squadron.

Afterwards, the Administrator, attended a Search and Rescue Helicopter Ride, at Tindal Royal Australian Air Force Base, in Tindal.
