Met with the Honourable Eva Lawler, the outgoing Chief Minister, for a courtesy call following the outcome of the Northern Territory General Election. During this meeting, the Administrator accepted Ms Lawler’s resignation as Chief Minister.

Conducted a swearing-in ceremony, officially appointing Mrs Finocchiaro as the new Chief Minister of the Northern Territory and Mr Gerard Maley as a Minister in the Interim Finocchiaro Government.

Welcomed and presented at the 2024 Seniors of Excellence NT Award Presentation, at the Italian Club, in Marrara.

Attended the Cultura de Timor-Leste (Timor Leste Festival) and Darwin Festival event 'Vital Forces' by Darwin Symphony Orchestra, at Darwin Entertainment Centre.

In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones, attended a Ceremonial Sitting to welcome the Honourable Justice Meredith Day Huntingford upon presentation of her Commission as a Justice of the Supreme of the Northern Territory, at Supreme Court.
