In the morning, as a consequence of the Honourable Chief Justice Michael Grant AO, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory departed Darwin, Her Honour Ms Elizabeth Morris, Chief Judge of the Local Court of the Northern Territory assumed administration of the Government of the Northern Territory as Acting Administrator.

In the afternoon, Her Honour Chief Judge Elizabeth Morris AM, Acting Administrator of the Northern Territory and Mr Rodney Haritos attended an Ecumenical Service to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Cyclone Tracy, at the Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Cathedral, in Darwin.
