In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, accompanied by Ms Ruth Jones, officially opened the new Darwin River Bushfire Brigade Inc. shed.

In the afternoon, His Honour, as Chief Guest, accompanied by Ms Jones attended the International Food Fair for the Buddhist Society of the Northern Territory, in Leanyer.
