In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, as Patron, and Ms Ruth Jones participated in the International Women's Day Walk, for United Nations Association Northern Territory Division around Darwin City.

In the evening, His Honour accompanied by Ms Jones, addressed the Tet Festival hosted by the Australian Vietnamese Family Association Inc, at Palmerston Recreation Centre.
