In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, joined by Ms Ruth Jones, laid a wreath at the 82nd Anniversary of the Sinking of the USS Peary, during the bombing of Darwin, at the USS Peary Gunn Memorial on the Esplanade.
Subsequently, His Honour accompanied by Ms Jones, addressed guests and laid a wreath at the Commemorative Service for the 82nd Anniversary of the Bombing of Darwin, at the Darwin Convention Centre.
Later, the Administrator and Ms Jones, attended a reception to commemorate the Anniversary of the Bombing of Darwin, at Parliament House.
In the afternoon, the Vice Regal couple, received Mr Shuichi Tokuda,
Consul-General of Japan, Consulate-General of Japan in Sydney, accompanied by his wife Mrs Mariko Tokuda and Colonel Eriko Nakaoka for a Courtesy Call.
