In the morning His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones, attended the Australian Honours and Awards Investiture Ceremony, at Government House Canberra.

Subsequently, His Honour and Ms Jones, attended an official lunch hosted by His Excellency Kazuhiro Suzuki, Ambassador of Japan to Australia.

In the evening, the Vice Regal couple, attended dinner  at Government House Canberra hosted by Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, at Government House Canberra.
