In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie AO PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones, participated in the Bravery Trust Friendship Run as part of Exercise Pitch Black 2024, at Darwin Cenotaph War Memorial, on the Esplanade.

Subsequently, the Administrator, received the Honourable Eva Lawler MLA, Chief Minister of the Northern Territory, to issue the 2024 Election Writ and Prorogue the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly, at Government House.

In the evening, His Honour, as Chief Scout, and Ms Jones, hosted the Scouts Association of Australia Northern Territory Branch Adult Recognition Awards and Youth Peak Achievement Awards, at Government House.
