As part of International Women’s Day celebrations, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, as Patron, accompanied by Ms Ruth Jones, attended the United Nations Association of Australia NT Division International Women’s Day Lunch, at the Il Piatto restaurant.

In evening, the Administrator and Ms Jones hosted a reception at Government House for women from across the community honouring the 2023 International Women’s Day theme, Embrace Equity.

Concurrently, Government House was illuminated purple for the event and will remain illuminated until 10 March in support of week-long International Women’s Day celebrations across the Northern Territory.
