In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, as Patron and Ms Ruth Jones attended the official opening of the 2023 Seniors Expo hosted by Council on the Ageing (Northern Territory) at Charles Darwin University Stadium, Territory Netball Stadium.

In the evening, His Honour and Ms Jones attended the Official Opening Ceremony of the Fred’s Pass Rural Show and participated in the Grand Parade at Fred’s Pass Reserve.
