In the afternoon, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones hosted the first of two annual Open Days, at Government House.

Subsequently, His Honour and Ms Jones attended a reception to celebrate the Independence Day of the United States of America at Parliament House.
