In the afternoon, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones attended the Darwin Italian Festival where the Administrator delivered the welcome address.

In the evening, the Administrator and Ms Jones attended Northern Territory Nursing and Midwifery Excellence Awards Gala Dinner, where His Honour presented the Administrator’s Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Nursing and/or Midwifery for 2023, at the Darwin Convention Centre.
