In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones attended an Indonesian Batik Workshop, hosted by the Indonesian Consulate to the Northern Territory and Darwin Language Centre, as part of week-long International Women's Day events.

Afterwards, the Administrator, as Chief Guest and Patron, accompanied by Ms Jones attended a Multicultural International Women's Day Fashion Show hosted by the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory.
