In the morning, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory and Ms Ruth Jones, attended the annual commemoration in honour of the winners of the 1919 Great Air Race, from England to Australia, Sir Keith Smith, Sir Ross Smith and the crew of the Vickers Vimy G-EAOU, at the Ross Smith Memorial, Fannie Bay.

Subsequently, His Honour and Ms Jones, attended the 2023 Northern Territory Youth Round Table end of year presentation and luncheon, at Parliament House.
