In the morning, as part of his statutory duties, His Honour Professor the Honourable Hugh Heggie PSM, Administrator of the Northern Territory, conducted a swearing-in Ceremony to appoint The Honourable Trevor Riley AO as an Acting Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory.

In the afternoon, His Honour, accompanied by Ms Ruth Jones, attended and reviewed the Parade at Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service Recruit Squad 47 graduation ceremony.
