The Administrator hosts Reception in Recognition of those who supported the Northern Territory Flood Response in 2026

His Honour and Ms Sue Brosnan OLY welcomed volunteers, frontline personnel, and community leaders to Government House for a special reception recognising the incredible Territory spirit shown during this year's Top End floods.

Earlier this year, communities across the Northern Territory faced some of the most challenging flooding in decades. Roads were cut, towns became isolated, businesses were disrupted and families faced significant uncertainty. Yet, as Territorians so often do, people stepped forward to help.

The reception gave His Honour the opportunity to recognise and thank many Territorians who went above and beyond, demonstrating extraordinary generosity, resilience, and community spirit during an extremely challenging time.

While only some of those involved could attend the reception, His Honour and Ms Brosnan acknowledge and sincerely thank every Territorian who contributed to the response and recovery effort.
