Official Travel to Canberra: His Honour visits National Archives of Australia in Canberra

His Honour and Ms Sue Brosnan OLY arrived in Canberra for their first official visit since taking office, beginning with a visit to the National Archives of Australia.

There, His Honour viewed original documents relating to the Northern Territory’s transition to self-government in 1978. The experience offered a fascinating glimpse into a defining moment in the Territory’s history and a reminder that the ambition and determination for the Northern Territory to succeed have deep roots.

As the Territory approaches the 50th anniversary of self-government on 1 July 2028, His Honour looks forward to celebrating this significant milestone with Territorians.
