His Honour officially opens the 2026 Darwin Beer Can Regatta

The Administrator, accompanied by Ms Sue Brosnan OLY, thoroughly enjoyed officially opening the 52nd Darwin Lions Beer Can Regatta at Mindil Beach.

The Beer Can Regatta is one of those great Territory traditions that brings people together every dry season. Whether you're racing, watching or simply enjoying the atmosphere, it's a day of fun and great community spirit.

His Honour was thrilled to have a crack at beach cricket with NT Cricket and particularly enjoyed cheering on the youngsters in the tug of war and running races. It was a fantastic day for all ages and a credit to the dedicated volunteers who make it all possible.

A special congratulations to the small but passionate committee whose hard work delivers one of the Territory's favourite community events each year.
