Behind the Wire: NT Art from the Inside exhibition

His Honour and Ms Sue Brosnan OLY attended the long-running Behind the Wire: NT Art from the Inside exhibition, returning to Darwin for the first time since 2019.

Held at the historic Fannie Bay Gaol, the exhibition showcases works created by incarcerated artists from across the Northern Territory, highlighting the important role creative expression can play in rehabilitation.

Featuring traditional Aboriginal painting, contemporary works and sculpture, the exhibition offers a powerful insight into the talent, culture and personal stories of artists within the Territory’s correctional system.
