Australia Day Council NT, 2027 Australian of the Year Northern Territory Campaign Launch at Government House

The Administrator, Patron of the Australia Day Council NT, and Ms Sue Brosnan OLY were pleased to host the 2027 Australian of the Year Northern Territory Campaign Launch at Government House.

This year marks forty years of the Australia Day Council Northern Territory, four decades of celebrating Territorians and recognising those who make our communities stronger.

The Australian of the Year Awards recognise four outstanding Australians each year: Australian of the Year, Senior Australian of the Year, Young Australian of the Year and Australia's Local Hero.

Each category celebrates a different kind of contribution, but all recognise people who lead by example and make a positive difference in the lives of others.

His Honour encourages all Territorians to nominate someone making a difference and help shine a light on the people who make the Territory such a special place to call home.
