Attended, addressed and presented the Administrator’s Medal at the 2025 Northern Territory Primary Health Network (NTPHN) Health Professional of the Year Awards

His Honour and Ms Jones attended the Northern Territory Primary Health Network Health Professional of the Year Awards, an outstanding event dedicated to recognising the dedication, innovation and significant contributions of primary healthcare practitioners throughout the Territory.

The highest award, the Administrator’s Medal in Primary Healthcare, recognises exceptional leadership, clinical excellence and a strong commitment to cultural safety and health equity. The recipient is selected from one of the winners of the eight categories.

His Honour was pleased to present Ms Helen Lamech with the 2025 Administrator’s Medal and personally thank her for her outstanding contributions. Helen was also nationally honoured earlier this year as the Australian Diabetes Educators Association Diabetes Educator of the Year - the first time this prestigious award has been won by a Territorian. Her outstanding work in diabetes education is especially vital in Central Australia, where diabetes rates are among the highest in the world. Helen’s dedication has made a profound difference in improving health outcomes across the Territory.

Congratulations to Helen and all those recognised for their invaluable contributions to the wellbeing of Territorians. Your passion, service and innovation are driving positive change and making a real difference.
