National Library of Australia, Cyclone Tracy Archives
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Cyclone Tracy’s impact on Darwin. During their recent visit to Canberra, His Honour, along with Ms Ruth Jones, explored the archives, photos, and materials at the National Library of Australia that capture this moment in time. These images and materials serve as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of the people of Darwin and surrounding regions following the devastation in 1974. Thank you to the team at the National Library of Australia for preserving our important story of survival in the face of adversity.
