Happy New Year

'As the sun sets on another year, my first as your Administrator, I reflect on all that I have witnessed over these past 12 months. I have had the privilege to hear the voices and unique stories of Territorians from all walks of life. I have been able to help honour your work and celebrate your achievements at award ceremonies right across the Northern Territory.

The past year we have also faced challenges together, coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, wars, violence and discord, and financial and social burdens for many. I am inspired by those in our community who continue to selflessly support those in need, those who strive for solutions and those who lift others up. The way that Territorians have shown caring for each other, our families and communities; the way Territorians have displayed generosity, and, above all, kindness has been truly inspiring and provides hope for our next chapter.

Ruth and I wish every Territorian, from the aqua shores of the Top End to the red desert sands of Central Australia and beyond, a New Year that brings you all that you need and more.'
