Territorians celebrating their 100th birthday or a significant wedding anniversary (for example: 50, 60, 65 and 70th) can receive a personal message of congratulations from the Administrator of the Northern Territory.
Government House is also able to assist with congratulatory messages from Her Majesty The Queen, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, and the Prime Minister of Australia. Please note that there are eligibility requirements for such messages.
Requests for congratulatory messages may be made by any individual. The “Request” form must be accompanied by a photocopy of a birth or marriage certificate. Originals are not required. If a copy of the certificate is unavailable, a statutory declaration may be made.
Government House requires at least five weeks notice prior to sending a message and is unable to send a belated message more than four weeks after the date of the occasion. The Office of the Administrator will endeavour to send the message no later than five days prior to the actual date of the occasion.
Recipients must be residents of the Northern Territory.
